In 1991, Grandma Tina's daughter Roberta and son-in-law David Bagshaw opened the first Grandma Tina's Cafe, located in Panguitch, Utah, in memory of the original, authentic Grandma Tina.
A few years later the reigns were handed down to their daughter Tina, and her husband Ron Bean.
While Ron and Tina loved Panguitch, they had a desire to relocate to Kanab, Utah, on the Arizona border.
In 2006 Paula Zutes, long time resident and owner of the Crescent Moon Theater, presented Ron & Tina with the opportunity they had been waiting for, allowing them to use her building, formerly the home of another Kanab restaurant, as the new home of Grandma Tina's Cafe in Kanab ( see location / map ).
Their prayers were answered, and they opened Grandma Tina's in Kanab on Feb. 2, 2006.
One of Tina's favorite things is greeting customers from the Panguitch location at the new restaurant in downtown Kanab, just north of the Grand Canyon North Rim. We are also happy to greet many seasonal visitors, including repeat customers form overseas and the U.S. who put Grandma Tina's on their list of places they must stop while on vacation in southern Utah and northern Arizona.
We appreciate all of our repeat customers for reminding us why we do this. We also look forward to meeting new customers, and hope you will also include us on your list of favorite places. Here at Grandma Tina’s, located near Best Friends Animal Sanctuary we have Vegetarian meals available & a pet-friendly patio. In need of catching up on your e-mail? We also offer Free Wireless Internet!
Come see for yourself, we'll save you a seat!
